Using crowdsourcing in Education

Hello guys,


I was wondering if anyone ran into the use of crowdsourcing in helping educational institutions make better decisions? The project I'm working on involves outsourcing part of the administrative decisions to the school's alumni through the use of the existing web portal. Alumni crowd is large (40,000), vested and well educated. So the personal interest component and the desire to be involved is there.
